Grants for Non-Profits:
How to Provide for Yourself by

Doing Good for Others

Grants are easier to get for non-profits than they are for businesses. That’s because grants generally have to benefit the public good in some way.

What a paradigm shift it was for me, though, when I heard that you can apply for grants for your non-profit organization and support yourself very well working to accomplish your non-profit mission.

What a major discovery that is for us women, because many of us are going into business to accomplish something good first and foremost, with the goal of making good money while doing it.

The person I learned this from is Sherry Watson. She was very inspirational as a speaker, because she herself was disabled by a car wreck, and yet she managed to start and fund non-profits helping disabled people, using grants she applied for.

You can learn from her how to do the same at:
thepowerofgrantmoney.com

Tell Sherry "She’s the Cheese!" sent you and says hi! She may well give you a discount on her seminar.

Another great grant person you can learn this from is Dawn Duncan. You can check out her seminar at thegrantconnection.com. Actually, you will have to call her at the number on that site, because she doesn’t have her seminar site up yet.

Added bonus: If you don’t want to write your own grant proposals, her company will do it for you for a modest fee. The average client receives 5-6 times the money they spent hiring her to write their grants. See her site for those details.

If you call Dawn, tell her Hi from "She’s the Cheese!" Again, she may give you a nice discount on her seminar. We’re so impressed with the potential for women supporting themselves by pursuing their non-profit passions that we may soon offer extra grants specifically for partial payment for Dawn’s and Sherry’s seminars.
